Raymond Powrie, MD, FRCP, FACP
Raymond Powrie, MD, FRCP, FACP is interim president of Kent Hospital; chief of medicine at Women & Infants Hospital and an attending physician in the Center for Obstetric and Consultative Medicine. He is also the senior vice president for Population Health at Women & Infants, and executive chief of medicine for Care New England.
Darcy Abbott, RN
Darcy Abbott, RN, has been named interim chief nursing officer at Kent, effective immediately. Darcy most recently served as associate chief nursing officer here. Prior to that, she served as director of ambulatory applied care technology at South Coast Health Network and was administrative director of surgical and ambulatory services at The Miriam Hospital, a Magnet-designated facility.
Throughout her career, Darcy has always maintained a focus on outcome-driven practices, the importance of mentoring, and ongoing academic training and excellence. She has also been a frequent presenter at national conferences on a variety of clinical topics spanning the full range of hospital-based care. She received her bachelors of science in nursing and masters of science in health services administration from Salve Regina University. This fall she will begin her doctor of nursing program.
