Ultrasound

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a technology that uses high-frequency sound waves to create a picture of the inside of the body on a monitor screen. It is a very safe, non-invasive procedure.

Ultrasound is used to examine:

  • Breasts.
  • Female pelvis.
  • Abdomen.
  • Thyroid.
  • Scrotum and testes.
  • Vascular system.
  • Pregnancy in all three trimesters.

Kent Hospital's Ultrasound Department uses up-to-date equipment and experienced certified technologists to provide high-quality images for diagnostic use.

The images are interpreted by the department's board-certified radiologists, who promptly report results to your physician.
