Stroboscopy

Kent's Speech-language pathology program offers videostroboscopy, a sophisticated diagnostic tool that records and observes the motion of the vocal cords.

Inserting a tiny video camera and rapidly flashing strobe light in the patient's mouth, a moving image of the vocal cords is projected onto a computer monitor. The image is used to diagnosis and identify appropriate treatment.
