Barbara J. Guillette, MD, received her bachelors degree in biochemistry magna cum laude from Brown University. While an undergraduate, she continued her musical interests by studying flute in the applied music program and performing in various groups including the wind ensemble.
After receiving her medical degree cum laude from Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Guillette completed her residency training in surgery and otolaryngology at SUNY-Buffalo, then returned to Rhode Island with her husband to practice otolaryngology.
Her interest in voice prompted her to set up the laryngovideostroboscopy unit at Kent Hospital in 2001. She continues to practice in Warwick, Rhode Island and holds clinical faculty appointments with both Brown University and Tufts University School of Medicine.
