Dr. Harrison is a family doctor committed to the care of underserved women and their families. She began practicing in Pawtucket in 2006 after completing her Family Medicine Residency at the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, followed by a 2 year fellowship in maternal child health at Thundermist Health Center and Landmark Hospital.
Dr. Harrison is the founder and medical director of CNEMG Family Medicine Pawtucket. Trained to care for women, men, and children at all stages of life, she has a special interest in reproductive health care for women. Dr. Harrison is clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Brown/Warren Alpert Medical School. She is actively involved in the teaching of family medicine to residents and medical students.
Dr. Harrison is a long time volunteer with Shoulder to Shoulder, a non-profit organization dedicated to health care delivery and poverty reduction in Honduras. She travels to Honduras several times a year in this capacity, and lectures on topics in global health here in the United States.
She is a recipient of the Dean's Excellence in Teaching Award from the Warren Alpert Medical School and received the American Academy of Family Physicians Humanitarian of the Year award in 2012. She received the Outstanding Doctoring Community Mentor Award from the Warren Alpert Medical School in 2016. She was chosen as a Top Doctor for Women by RI Monthly magazine in 2008 and as a RI Top Doc in 2016.
Dr. Harrison speaks Spanish and some French. She is an avid cyclist and runner and enjoys gardening and baking.
