The Breast Health Center at Kent is celebrating breast cancer survivorship by hosting its third annual Breast Health Fair on Friday, May 31, 2013, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Kent Hospital Doctors' Auditorium. The event is open to all cancer survivors, caregivers, staff and the community. Lunch will be provided.
There will be a case study presentation at noon, "Successfully Surviving," centered on breast cancer survival. Panel members include Candace Dyer, MD, physician director of The Breast Health Center at Kent; Pierre Michaud, MD; plastic/reconstructive surgeon; Jessica Laprise, MD, CGC, a certified genetics counselor with the Cancer Risk Assessment and Prevention Program at Women & Infants and Kent; and Pam Hill, RD, clinical nutrition manager, Kent Hospital.The panel will be moderated by Ashley Stuckey, MD, breast surgeon, Kent and Women & Infants hospitals.
Special guest Linda Fiorenzano, writer and contributor of "Chicken Soup for the Soul – Hope & Healing for Your Breast Cancer Journey" and a 10-year breast cancer survivor, will be signing and personalizing a free copy of the book for registered guests.
