Kent Hospital Offering Breast Screenings, Support Group Meetings
08/29/2012

09/23/10
Kent Hospital’s Breast Health Screening Program, in conjunction with the Department of Health’s Women’s Cancer Screening Program, is providing screening opportunities for area women. Women who are uninsured and have not had a mammogram during the last two years are eligible (last mammogram in 2008). If you have had a mammogram since then, you are eligible for a clinical breast exam. To schedule your appointment contact Kent Hospital scheduling at 736-1988.

In addition, The Breast Health Center at Kent also offers monthly breast cancer support group meetings. Kent Hospital’s breast cancer support group is an informal, ongoing group bringing people together to share their experiences and problems related to cancer and to provide one another with comfort and help. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month (meetings will not be held on Monday holidays) from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Breast Health Center at Kent Conference Room. Please use the Imaging Center entrance located next to Kent’s Emergency Department, 455 Toll Gate Road, Warwick, RI. The meetings are free, and breast cancer patients are invited to attend with their families. For more information, please call the Breast Health Center at 401-736-3737.
