Welcome to our Internal Medicine Residency Program! The residents, faculty, and staff at Kent Hospital are all looking forward to meeting you. We have put together this packet for you in order to give you some information about the program, the hospital, and Rhode Island in general.
Interview Day Facts
Your day will begin promptly at 9:00am and will include the following:
- A presentation covering basic information about the program
- Time with a faculty member
- Time with a resident
- Individual time with the IM residency program director
- Tour of the facilities
Your day will be complete, you are welcome to stay and visit specific departments while spending time with a resident.
Lodging and Food
A list of hotel accommodations in the local area can be provided to you upon request. Please contact the residency program coordinator for further information.
During your stay, the residents would like to invite you to a
relaxing and informal dinner at a local restaurant. These will be held around 7pm on the nights before your interview. Please let the residency program coordinator know if you would like to attend. There are many great restaurants, cafés, bistros, and coffee shops in Providence and Warwick. Please go to

Take I-95 South to exit 10B toward West Warwick
Head west on RI-117/Centerville Rd.
At the first stoplight, turn right onto Commonwealth Avenue.
At the first stop sign, turn right onto Leon Whipple Road.
At the end of Leon Whipple, turn left onto Toll Gate Road.
Kent Hospital will be on the right.
From the south:
Take I-95 North to exit 10.
Turn Left onto RI-117/Centerville Road.
