About Us
The professional staff includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, radiologists, social services and a patient coordinator. We pride ourselves on being a truly collaborative team made up of the best breast health physicians and staff from both Kent Hospital and Women & Infants Hospital. The creation of this bond, with a well established and highly successful partner such as Women & Infants, strongly positions our new center to deliver the highest quality and broadest range of health services possible.
This new program has drawn on the expertise of specialty-trained physicians who are national leaders in breast health. The quality and level of care brought to this collaboration by Women & Infants enhances and broadens Kent Hospital’s commitment to providing its patients with access to the best possible care in this region. A critical component of the collaboration is the joint Tumor Board that will hear all cases in a prospective fashion. The multidisciplinary group of specialists who sit on the Tumor Board provide input for the patient’s care. In addition, the collaboration will give Kent patients access to the array of cutting-edge clinical trials taking place through the Women & Infants Breast Health Center research program.

These include: mammography, ultrasound, needle biopsies of the breast and breast MRI/diagnostic imaging, clinical evaluation and treatment, genetic counseling, social services, nutritional and dietary consultation, lymphedema assessment and treatment, support groups, and an array of integrated services such as massage therapy, acupuncture, hypnosis and more.
