Take a virtual tour of Kent's Outpatient Rehabilitation Center
Our occupational therapists aim to restore the skills necessary for people to lead independent and productive lives. Occupational therapy is the use of purposeful activity to achieve functional outcomes. The occupational therapists work to develop adaptive responses of individuals with disabilities in the areas of:
- Neurologic impairments
- Occupational injuries
- Upper extremity orthopedic injuries (including fractures, tendonitis and hand trauma)
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Developmental disabilities
Occupational therapists service the continuum at Kent Hospital, from inpatient, to the rehabilitation center, to home care, to outpatient. Patients may enter and exit the continuum at any point, or may utilize all services, if necessary.
